The Nativity Donkey is part of Thomas Blackshear's 13-piece Nativity set. Blackshear created The Nativity for The Blackshear Circle collector club. Since 1997, the club has introduced emotionally impactful sculpture, but none more powerful than the Nativity series. Shedding a new perspective on this biblical scene, Thomas Blackshear captures the reverence and tender emotion of the event.
Even a donkey was on hand for the miracle in Bethlehem. Artist Thomas Blackshear depicts the animal with uncanny realism, from its almond-shaped eyes to its perfectly formed hooves.
