The P-51 Mustang was one of the planes the Tuskegee Airmen flew. It was the aircraft that changed history. Claiming 4,950 enemy aircraft shot down, the P-51 Mustang American fighter plane became an icon of WWII American pride and ingenuity. During World War II America's fighting planes went from defensive to offensive, transitioning from escorts to American bombers to direct combat with German fighter planes. Now, this bold airplane sculpture honors those brave pilots who flew and fought for our freedom.
Each airplane is masterfully handcrafted of artist's resin and hand-painted to highlight every amazing detail, from the authentic U.S. Military insignia to the propellers that really spin.
