high, how do you justify your rates?
- The crossword puzzle page will draw additional traffic and will be one
of your most popular pages. In addition, your visitors will be involved
solving the puzzle and will consequently spend more time on the puzzle
page. The extra traffic and "stickiness" of the puzzle page
will make it easier to sale banner ad space at a premium rate. (You'll
recover the syndication fee from the sale of two (maybe even one) banner
ad.)
3. Do you offer any
discounts on the licensing fees?
- If you pay in advance for a 1-year contract to run weekly
puzzles, the licensing fee is a flat rate of $2,000 for the year.
(A savings of almost $600).
4. What other contract
lengths do you offer?
- You can set up a contract for:
3-months; 6-months; or 1-year
5. How do I get the
puzzles on my website?
- We will email the JAVA files you need to
display the puzzle grid on your website. All you have to do is load the
files into the directory of the page where the puzzle will run. We will
email the individual puzzles in batches of (five) on a periodic basis.
All you have to do is load the puzzles into the same directory as the
puzzle grid files.
6. Can you create custom
crosswords based on specific topics? and does it cost extra?
- Yes we can create crosswords based on any
topic that you like. Custom crosswords cost $100 each.
7. Do you offer any other
types of puzzles?
- Yes, we also have an interactive
word search puzzle, however we don't license it. We offer it free to our
1-year syndication subscribers.
8. What if I have multiple
websites, do I get a discount if I want to run on those sites?
- The syndication fee for running puzzles on other sites that you own is
$25 per puzzle.
9. How
do I get started?

need more information
c. - We will email your contract for you to review, sign and fax
back to us
d. - We will email the files you need to display the puzzle grid
e. - We will periodically email new puzzles throughout the duration of the
contract

General Syndication Policies:
- Syndication fees are billed in advance at the beginning of each month and are due upon receipt.
- You are only authorized to run the puzzles on the web sites listed
in your contract.
- Our crosswords are licensed for online distribution only and in
the form supplied as a whole and must not be translated, altered, printed, converted into
any other media format, or have derivative works created from them for distribution.
- Kanes Publications retains ownership of the crosswords and reserves all
rights.
